tigdas hangin
Remember my post about the sick little girl?
After several consultation with her pedia, the rashes were finally out on the 5th day. Rashes first appeared on her tummy area and later on her neck and chin. The first thing that went to my mind is that she might be having Roseola infantum or locally known as tigdas hangin. As a first-time mom, I immediately called her pedia again to verify if it is indeed roseola and not German measles. I am afraid that I and little Stef might get it too. Tita Doc confirmed that it was indeed tigdas hangin. It is but normal for children her age to have it. We were only relieved when the rashes subsided several days after.
With this experience, I am glad that there is an internet that I can turn to. It helped me much with my research and it made me worry less. It was a relief that everything that I need to know is just within one click. Everything from the diseases' signs and symptoms, diagnosis, cure and medication was within reach. While reading on the disease, I even got the chance to read about KVM switch (this is more related on G's work than mine).
Oh by the way, did I mention that tigdas hangin was also a discussion in our yahoogroup? It was timely! I was able to read about first hand experiences from mothers whose kids had previous experiences with the disease. Thank God really for the internet
